Welcome to the "Speed Stage" of Karibu Gravels, where the eastern plains of Rwanda showcase a different side of the country's terrain. Stage 3 offers the flattest profile of the race, but don't be fooled – its finale packs a punch inside one of Africa's most scenic national parks.

The Start: Kayonza

​

Beginning in Kayonza, the bustling heart of Eastern Province, riders will experience:

  • A neutral start through the town center

  • Gradual warm-up section

  • Early positioning battles for the coming descent

  1. The Early Plunge

    • 4 km descent at -4.3% (starts at km 10)

    • Perfect opportunity for early breakaway attempts

    • Technical gravel handling skills essential

  2. The Flat Zone

    • 32 km of relatively flat terrain
